WILMINGTON, NC, July 15, 2024
LINQ, the premier software provider exclusively serving K-12 business operations of all sizes, today announced the launch of the latest edition of LINQ Connect, the company’s all-in-one mobile app that allows parents and guardians to easily monitor and make payments on their students’ school accounts from the convenience of their cell phones or tablets.
LINQ Connect allows parents to easily manage their student’s day. Through the app, parents will also be able to track upcoming breakfast and lunch menus for their students—including the ability to view all school activities for children who attend different schools within the same district and make real-time transfers between student meal accounts. Parents can also receive push notifications when their students’ account balance is low and have access to make payments for student meal accounts, school events and organization-related fees. The addition of multi-factor authentication within the LINQ Connect app will help ensure all student and family information is secure.
“The LINQ Connect app is designed with one major goal in mind: to make life easier for parents,” said Bryan Jones, CEO at LINQ. “Parents are often forced to download and navigate multiple different platforms and tools simply to ensure their children access to make meal payments, access school menus, make payments related to school and athletic fees, purchase yearbooks, donate to PTAs and more. With LINQ Connect, we’ve streamlined that process to give parents a unified approach to school-related spending that makes life easier for them and their students.”
LINQ Connect is also built for ease of use for school leadership. School administrators can use one app across all elements of a school’s financial workflows. Connect allows complete visibility into school finances through the district’s existing LINQ dashboard, ensuring administrators can trace all transactions across the school. Administrators and teachers will also be able to upload and monitor forms in the app, reducing headaches stemming from misplaced permission slips.
LINQ is committed to helping its school districts connect with all parents. In service of that mission, virtually all elements of the platform—including payments functions, school menus and student forms—will be immediately accessible for users in 11 languages: English, Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, German, Russian, Portuguese, Burmese and Armenian.
“We saw an opportunity to improve the experience for families and administrators through a simple yet powerful app,” said Keith Womack, general manager of payments at LINQ. “LINQ Connect delivers a complete solution for making all school-related payments. The ability to consolidate and track payments in one digital channel—combined with real-time information-sharing and features like push notifications—offers a simpler, more intuitive and more cost-effective option for schools to meet the needs of students and families.”
LINQ will demonstrate the functionality and ease of use the latest edition of LINQ Connect offers parents and administrators at the School Nutrition Association’s Annual National Conference at Booth #2118 from July 14 to July 16 in Boston. LINQ Connect can be downloaded from the App Store, Google Play or anywhere you access apps today.
